EFCC Investigates Bobrisky for Alleged Naira Abuse

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has initiated an investigation into the actions of Idris Okuneye, popularly known as Bobrisky, for allegedly spraying Naira notes. The 31-year-old social media influencer and crossdresser came under scrutiny after a video surfaced showing him flaunting wads of fresh Naira notes at the premiere of the movie Ajakaju, produced by Nollywood actress and producer Eniola Ajao. The incident occurred at Film One Circle Mall in Lekki, Lagos on March 24, 2024.

Further inquiries revealed that Bobrisky had engaged in similar behavior at other event centers and parties on different occasions. Responding to the Commission’s invitation, he appeared at the Lagos Zonal Command of the EFCC on the morning of Wednesday, April 4, 2024, where he voluntarily provided his statements.

Pending the completion of investigations, Bobrisky is expected to face charges in court. The EFCC remains committed to upholding financial integrity and ensuring accountability in currency-related matters.
