The Synagogue Church of All Nations Thessalonica, a Christian ministry affiliated with the late Nigerian prophet T.B. Joshua, has announced its new name: Christian Church of All Nations – Thessalonica. The name change was prompted by the Greek government’s refusal to grant a permit to the church, citing its use of the word “Synagogue” as misleading and confusing.
The church’s leader, Charalampos Tsakonidis, also known as Wiseman Harry, revealed the news in a YouTube video on February 17, 2024. He explained that the word “Synagogue” refers to the Jewish community and not to a Christian church like theirs. He said that their church had the privilege of being named after the Synagogue Church of All Nations in Lagos, Nigeria, which was founded by their mentor and father in the Lord, Senior Prophet T.B. Joshua. However, he acknowledged that in Greece, where the Jewish community is large and influential, such a connection could cause conflicts and misunderstandings.
He said that the name change was done according to God’s divine instruction, and that it would not affect the church’s vision and mission. He also unveiled the church’s new logo, which features a cross, a dove, a flame, and the Earth. He said that the logo represents the church’s belief in Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit, the global revival, and the salvation, healing, and deliverance of all nations.

He also shared some of the challenges and persecutions that the church has faced since its inception. He said that he was arrested on August 27, 2022, for preaching the Gospel and doing the work of God. He said that the church’s permit was revoked by the Ministry of Religious Affairs, and that they have been trying to get it back ever since. He said that despite the difficulties, the church has remained steadfast in faith and thankful to God. He encouraged the viewers to keep their vision in the forefront of their mind, and to not let any obstacles stop them from pursuing God’s Kingdom.
He concluded the video by blessing the viewers and saying “Emmanuel”, which means “God is with us”. He also played a song in the background, which sounded like a hymn of praise and worship.
The video has received over 10,000 views and hundreds of comments, mostly from supporters and followers of the church. Some of them expressed their joy and gratitude for the new name and logo, while others prayed for the church’s growth and protection. Some also expressed their admiration and respect for Harry, and his courage and perseverance in the face of adversity.

Joshua was a popular and controversial Nigerian preacher, who claimed to have the power of prophecy, healing, and deliverance. He died on June 5, 2021, at the age of 57.
