Kelly Rowland and Trevante Rhodes sex scene in Mea Culpa (video)

Kelly Rowland and Trevante Rhodes have gotten people talking especially about their sex scene in Mea Culpa new Tyler Perry’s movie on Netflix (video on our telegram channel here)

Mea Culpa is a new Netflix movie produced by Tyler Perry and starring Kelly Rowland as Mea Harper, a criminal defense attorney who gets involved with a mysterious artist accused of murder. The film promises to be a steamy and suspenseful thriller, but unfortunately, it fails to deliver on both counts.

Plot and Characters

The plot of Mea Culpa is full of holes and inconsistencies. The motivations of the characters are unclear and their actions are often illogical. For example, Mea decides to take on the case of Zyair Malloy (Trevante Rhodes), even though she has no evidence of his innocence and he seems to be hiding something. She also cheats on her husband, Kal (Sean Sagar), with Zyair, after receiving a fake photo of Kal with another woman. The photo was sent by Jimmy (RonReaco Lee), Mea’s private investigator, who turns out to be the real killer. The twist is revealed in a rushed and confusing manner, leaving many questions unanswered.

The characters of Mea Culpa are poorly developed and lack depth. Mea is supposed to be a smart and successful lawyer, but she makes many bad decisions and falls for Zyair’s charms too easily. Zyair is a one-dimensional character who only serves as a love interest and a suspect. He has no personality or backstory, except for his paintings, which are supposed to be clues to his guilt or innocence. Kal is a passive and unlikable character who does not support Mea or stand up to his brother, Ray (Nick Sagar), who is the prosecutor in Zyair’s case. Jimmy is a clichéd villain who has no motive or explanation for his actions.

Style and Direction

The style and direction of Mea Culpa are also disappointing. The film tries to emulate the erotic thrillers of the 80s and 90s, such as Basic Instinct and Jagged Edge, but it lacks the tension and excitement of those classics. The film is slow-paced and boring, with many scenes that drag on or add nothing to the story. The dialogue is bland and unnatural, and the acting is mediocre at best. The film also relies on cheap jump scares and loud music to create a false sense of suspense.

The film does not succeed in creating a sensual or romantic atmosphere either. The chemistry between Rowland and Rhodes is weak and unconvincing, and the sex scenes are awkward and gratuitous. The film does not explore the emotional or psychological aspects of the affair, nor does it show any consequences or remorse for Mea’s actions.

Conclusion

Mea Culpa is a film that tries to be a sexy and thrilling mystery, but it ends up being a dull and predictable mess. The film wastes the talents of its cast and the potential of its premise, and it does not offer anything new or original to the genre. Mea Culpa is a film that can be easily skipped or forgotten..
