Ademola Lookman is a professional footballer who plays as a winger for Serie A club Atalanta. He was born in England to Nigerian parents and played for England at the youth level. In 2022, he switched his allegiance to Nigeria. He has played for several clubs throughout his career, including Charlton Athletic, Everton, RB Leipzig, Fulham, and Leicester City. Lookman has won several honors, including the FIFA U-20 World Cup with England and the Atalanta Player of the Season award.
Early life
Lookman was born in Wandsworth, London, on October 20, 1997, to Nigerian parents. He began playing football at a young age and joined the Charlton Athletic academy at the age of seven.
Club career
Lookman made his professional debut for Charlton Athletic in 2015. He spent two seasons with the club before joining Everton in 2017. After a loan spell at RB Leipzig, Lookman joined Fulham on loan in 2018. He helped Fulham win promotion to the Premier League in 2019, but the club was relegated back to the Championship the following season. In 2020, Lookman joined Leicester City on loan. He made a permanent move to Leicester City in 2021. In 2022, Lookman joined Atalanta on loan.
International career
Lookman represented England at the youth level, but he switched his allegiance to Nigeria in 2022. He made his senior debut for Nigeria in a friendly match against Mexico in June 2022.
